چکیده

Leaf rust (caused by Puccinia triticina Eriks—Pt) occurs regularly in the Czech Republic and can inflict considerable yield losses on wheat, particularly southeastern part of country warm dry years. Knowledge resistance genes (Lr) is useful breeding, when combined with data virulence population. Seeds 56 winter wheat cultivars registered were obtained from Central Institute for Supervising Testing Agriculture. All tested molecular markers to postulate presence Lr1, Lr10, Lr24, Lr26, Lr28, Lr34, Lr37 Lr68. In total, 39 also leaf field trials. The gene had highest proportion, occurring 24 varieties. most effective was Lr24 gene, which carried various combinations other Lr Athlon, Futurum, Sheriff, Hyfi, Asory, Campesino, Gordian. Also Lr28 mostly highly effective.

Leaf rust (Puccinia triticina) resistance in wheat (Triticum aestivum) cultivars grown in Northern Europe 1992-2002.

Diversity of resistance to leaf rust caused by Puccinia triticina can be enhanced in wheat (Triticum aestivum) cultivars through a better knowledge of resistance genes that are present in important cultivars and germplasm. Multi-pathotype tests on 84 wheat cultivars grown in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden during 1992-2002 and 39 differential testers enabled the postulation of nine known ge...

Wheat leaf rust caused by Puccinia triticina.

UNLABELLED Leaf rust, caused by Puccinia triticina, is the most common rust disease of wheat. The fungus is an obligate parasite capable of producing infectious urediniospores as long as infected leaf tissue remains alive. Urediniospores can be wind-disseminated and infect host plants hundreds of kilometres from their source plant, which can result in wheat leaf rust epidemics on a continental ...

Virulence and Molecular Polymorphism in International Collections of the Wheat Leaf Rust Fungus Puccinia triticina.

ABSTRACT Collections of Puccinia triticina, the wheat leaf rust fungus, were obtained from Great Britain, Slovakia, Israel, Germany, Australia, Italy, Spain, Hungary, South Africa, Uruguay, New Zealand, Brazil, Pakistan, Nepal, and eastern and western Canada. All single-uredinial isolates derived from the collections were tested for virulence polymorphism on 22 Thatcher wheat lines that are nea...

Virulence and molecular polymorphisms of the wheat leaf rust fungus Puccinia triticina in Canada

Populations of Puccinia triticina, one of the casual agents of wheat leaf rust disease, in the pacific (British Columbia and Alberta), prairie (Manitoba and Saskatchewan), and eastern regions (Quebec and Ontario) of Canada from 1997 to 2007 were analyzed for virulence and genetic diversity by revealing expressed sequence tag derived simple sequence repeat (EST-SSR) polymorphisms. Since 1997, a ...

Microscopic and Molecular Characterization of the Prehaustorial Resistance against Wheat Leaf Rust (Puccinia triticina) in Einkorn (Triticum monococcum)

Puccinia triticina f. sp. tritici (Eriks.), the causal agent of leaf rust, causes substantial yield losses in wheat production. In wheat many major leaf rust resistance genes have been overcome by virulent races. In contrast, the prehaustorial resistance (phr) against wheat leaf rust detected in the diploid wheat Einkorn (Triticum monoccocum var. monococcum) accession PI272560 confers race-inde...
